Information:
This course is aimed at PhD students of the Graduate School "Symmetry Breaking". Diploma and master students who have already attended lectures in particle physics or quantum field theory are also welcome.

Contents:
The lecture comprises theoretical and experimental concepts of Higgs physics, in particular at high-energy colliders. The list of topics to be discussed includes:

  • The Higgs mechanism of the Standard Model
  • Higgs searches at the LEP collider
  • Higgs production in hadronic scattering processes
